Thanks for downloading our Link Manager component and module. In the following lines you will be instructed on how to use this facility and you will know how it works. The product you downloaded consists of two files. One file is a component and the other one is the module to use with the component. The names of the files may look strange. We are going to elaborate on it. The name of the files you downloaded consists of a unique code which is only for you and also the date and time you downloaded the software. Installation: 1- First you need to install the component. This component only works in the backend and you should have administrative privileges to be able to use it. The component uses xmlrpc technology and stores the data on our servers. So you don't need to worry about backing up the data related to this component and the component doesn't store anything in your joomla database. 2- After installation, you can access the component under extensions->Realtyna Link Manager. At this point you won't be able to see any links yet. 3- The next thing you need to do is installing the module. The name of the module zip file contains the same unique code as the component. You can also find this unique code after installation in the module parameters. You also see link server in the module parameters which you should remain intact. 4- After installing the module you should enable it and put it in a position you like. The module supports two forms for showing the links. Horizontal and vertical templates are there for you. Using the component Next time the pages in which the module is enabled are loaded, their urls will be visible in the link manager component. In the link manager you will see 5 columns. The first column is the page url. Normally you don't need to change it because it is automatically inserted upon page loads in the pages containing the module. Second column in Ad Text and the third one is Ad link. The Ad text is what is shown in the page and Ad link is the link it refers to. Next column is page view which tells you how many times that page is viewed so far. The first time you see a page url, the other columns are empty except for Page View which shows '0'. For adding your first link, you need to click on it and it will redirect you to Link Manager Link Edit page and you will be able to add your first link there. If you plan to add more links to the same page url, Click on Add in the last column. For editing the links, all you need to do is clicking on one of the columns except the page url column. If you click on the items in the page url column, you will see that page and you can check if the links you put in the link manager are shown there or not. If you have more than one website running joomla and you want to manage the links on all of them; you just need to install the module on them and you will be able to monitor the links of these sites in the component installed on your first site. We hope you enjoy our software. Realtyna Software Team June 2009
